codes and conventions of science fiction

Normally we are presented with a unusual setting that we are unable to recognise and this creates a sense of wonder and also allows the producers and directors to create more different scenes and scriptures to be as weird as they like as they connot be corrected on something that already doesnt exist. There will normally be a main character and a sidekick symbol we are introduced to as they are children or younger having some sort of dream to be a hero or where something significant to plot will happen. There will also most likely be some sort of 'alien' species that wants to destroy or take over earth. The hero characters are presented by being quite different this make them interesting. this will be through their personality and dress sense this will alow them to stand out to audience.Quick cuts and low angles are used to help make the film look action packed and make characters and scenes look superior and powerful. Scores of music will mainly consist of strong wind instruments to add power and strength to the music and help create an atmosphere. Sometimes dialogue can consist of many different languages to help create that foriegn feel.
