Donnie darko is a pychological film and is about a boy who has a mental illness and sees a man dressed as a giant bunny who convinces him to do things. However he is unaware that he is doing these events. This is fairly relevent to our film and has a similar plot.
The original film classification age limit on this film is 15. The average viewers for this film are for male and female 18 and under.
The black swan has a plot of a girl who is unaware of her mental illness that is caused by the pressure of becoming a proffesional ballet dancer. She is completely unawareof her illness unlike donnie darko and fully believes that her hallucinations are real.
The age rating for this film is 16 because this thriller is seen as too intense for young teens. The average audience for black swan are males under 18 and also males and females ages 18-29.
because these films contain difficult and complexed scenes these film are not aimed at younger people. I think for our audience we are aiming for the similar audiences as donnie darko and black swan.
