 ( Girlfiend appears in the doorway )

Girlfriend:   "I'm going now, I'll see you later."
(  Matt gets up to quickly catch her before she goes.)

Matt; " Ooh, wait !"

( Conversation in hall )

Matt; "We got plans tonight ?"--- This will show his slight confusion as what he is supposed to be doing at the present time and can also reflect his disorder as he seems not right and not organised as a hero should be.

Girlfriend; " Yeah we're going to that meal tonight with my parents remember?"--- This implies she has alread told him of there plans and that he has fogotten, again suggesting that something isnt right with his time keeping and that he isnt very organised.

Matt; " Oh right, yeah, have a nice day"---- Cuts off the conversation. This shows hjow socially withdrawn he is as he minimizes the conversation. This presents our hero as very unsocialable and makes him less likable to the public audience and is also a slight hint that something isnt right about him.

Girlfriend; " Alright, I'll see you later" ---- See's nothing of it and carries on with her day.

Throughout this conversation we wanted to make Matt seem very closed off and disorganised. This is not what a hero should be and indicates that he is not your everyday hero for a very sinister reason.
